Where to mine gemstones in OSRs? ›

Normal gem rocks can be mined in Shilo Village after a player has completed the Shilo Village quest or in the Lunar Isle mine after Lunar Diplomacy. The rocks regenerate 99 ticks (59.4 seconds) after being mined. Wearing a charged amulet of glory triples the success rate of mining these gem rocks.

Mining a gem rock is worth 673.38 on average. A simple way to determine gp/hour at any given level is to divide the exp/hour by exp per gem rock (65), and then multiply by the gem rock value. Check the live price and daily volume of items on the Grand Exchange before making large investments in any method.

While mining most ore rocks or Motherlode Mine ore veins, players have a 1/256 chance of receiving a gem instead of an ore; this does not deplete the ore rock.

Since the update in December that removed the random tick delay from various mining rocks, mining gem rocks is now always a 3-tick action, and a much better training method. With tick manipulation, you can get up to around 105k-115k xp/hr based on mining level.

Gems can also be mined from the gem rocks in the north-west corner of Shilo Village, Lunar Isle Mine, occasionally in Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup activity, in gem rocks in the Al Kharid mining site resource dungeon, and 8 gem rocks can be found in the Trahaearn area in Prifddinas.

From level 1 to 15, players should mine copper or tin. This can be done anywhere, though the Lumbridge Swamp mining site is debatably the easiest due to its relative lack of players and aggressive monsters, and its collection of copper and tin rocks.

For mining, Sorrow is far better, since it grants mining fortune and is a higher rarity. Sorrow also has utility in Magic find, granting 20, the highest for any armor set in the game. You'll be buying this set for that reason in the future anyway, so it won't change too much.

Soft clay is in high demand since it is used to craft skilling urns. Go to the Ithell district in Prifddinas and start mining it. If the voice of Seren is in the district it provides a 50% chance of banking the clay to your bank. Wearing a grace of elves will increase your profits since it will spawn Seren spirits.

How to crush gemstone osrs? ›

A crushed gem is an accidental product that is occasionally made when using a chisel on an uncut semiprecious gem (opal, jade and red topaz). Players gain a small amount of Crafting experience when a gem is crushed in this way.

Players can expect to mine anywhere from 80 to 100 amethyst per hour, depending on efficiency, for profits of 286,320-357,900 coins. Players may wish to bring a chisel with them to craft amethyst bolt tips, arrowtips, javelin heads or dart tips. These stack in your inventory allowing you to avoid banking indefinitely.

The fastest mining training method in the game is 3-tick 4 granite. This is done at the quarry in the desert and with tick manipulation, you can get 130k xp per hour at 99. You unlock granite at level 45, and even at 45 it's the fastest method in the game, giving up to 70k per hour.

At 99 mining, runite ore has a 19/256 chance of depletion every 3 ticks (1.8 seconds), when using a rune pickaxe. In the case of a rune pickaxe, the expected amount of time for success is 256/19 * 3 ticks, roughly 24.25 seconds.

You will need to start with Copper or Tin ore. The best location to train your OSRS mining skill is in the swamp south of Lumbridge, but you can also choose the mine southeast of Varrock.

Dragonstones can be obtained rarely from catching Kingly implings, with the aid of a gem-finding scrimshaw, from a challenge mystery bag, as a reward from a fire spirit, and mined from Kal'gerion gem rocks in the Kal'gerion dungeon.

Opals are the lowest level gemstone and are worth very little. Uncut opals are found mostly with the Mining skill, only by mining gem rocks which are located in Shilo Village and the Lunar Isle mine.

It can be mined from granite rocks in the Desert Quarry. As the Desert Quarry is located far from a bank, collecting granite can be difficult. However a player can use a sign of the porter IV, or better, to send granite to their bank as it is mined. Signs of the porter are untradeable and must be created by the player.
