Does Corsair iCUE cause FPS drops? ›

If icue is running, I will get very noticeable frame drops in virtually all games, observed through RTSS. At this point, I've uninstalled icue as it's ruining my experience.

The first step is to ensure that all the software is up to date. Updating windows, iCUE, and any software it may be interacting with is important for minimizing any security issues and known bugs. To eliminate any issues with iCUE itself, you can also try repairing it.

iCUE is very inefficient, and known to be, but it's not THAT bad in normal operation. if you have a couple of cores pegged at 100% there's a problem on your installation somewhere, something is borked but it's not the usual iCUE background load.

If your RAM is not detected by iCUE and restarting your PC does not resolve this issue, the problem might be because of a software conflict. If you run other software that controls RGB and hardware components, it might cause Corsair interface drivers to deactivate.

Download the installer for iCUE by going to this page and clicking the Download iCUE button near the top-right of the screen and select the latest version of iCUE. Run the installer for iCUE and select Repair. Follow the on-screen instructions for repairing iCUE. Reboot your PC.

iCUE is very good, very easy to use and works well, I've had it on 4 systems.

Corsair iCUE is a must-have piece of software if you own any Corsair device.

Device memory mode in iCUE allows products to operate in a 'hardware state' without needing iCUE running in the background. Previously, exiting iCUE was necessary to activate the hardware state. This mode supports configurations like 'Hardware Lighting' for Fans and Coolers, and key assignments for mice and keyboards.

If you need to adjust your RAM in iCUE to match your motherboard layout, you can use the DIMM Setup tab to orientate your RAM. After clicking DIMM Setup in the left menu, you can click the rotation icons on the preview to orientate your RAM.

i did a clean install with the latest icue version 4.13. 223 and i noticed that icue will lag ( rgb stuttering) if anything is doing light cpu usage. Its more noticeable with a game ( here csgo ) , just going in the main menu causes insane rgb stuttering as well as random lags and fps drop in the game.
